What does it cost, and are there hidden fees?

The hourly rate you see while browsing is what you pay: the guest service fee is already in it, and it is itemised again at checkout. Booking an indoor facility or academy carries no guest fee at all. Nothing is added for add-ons or cleaning after you book.

Can I book a coach, not just a cage?

Yes. Coaches on CageList have their own profile, rate and calendar, and every one has passed a background check. You can book a lesson directly, or book a cage and bring your own instructor — most hosts and facilities welcome outside coaches.

What does it cost to list my cage?

Nothing to list, and nothing monthly. CageList takes 10% of each booking, so you keep 90%, and players pay a separate service fee on top of your rate rather than out of it.

How and when do I get paid?

Payouts run through Stripe straight to your bank. A booking becomes payable 48 hours after the session finishes — the buffer that covers a dispute — and a daily batch releases everything that has cleared it.

How much can I realistically earn?

It depends on your rate, your city and how many hours you open up. The cost calculator models the build cost, your hourly rate and monthly earnings together, so you can see the payback period before you list — or before you build.

What about liability, waivers and my neighbours?

Every player signs a digital liability waiver before their first session, and it is stored against the booking. Your house rules show on your listing and are agreed at checkout. Can players book my facility online through CageList?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You set which spaces are bookable, your hours and your rate, and players book and pay without a phone call. Each cage, tunnel, flat-ground or film room can be listed and priced separately.

Can I sell memberships and take team dues?

Accepted Answer

Both. Memberships are recurring plans charged monthly and cancellable by the member, and teams that train with you can pay their season dues through the same account.

Can my coaches run their lessons through my page?

Yes. Each coach gets their own profile and calendar, and families booking a lesson land on your facility. Their availability and yours stay in one place instead of a group text.

What does it cost a facility?

A claimed directory profile is free. Featuring it is $49 a year, and online booking is 5% of each session — about 3% of that is card processing, so CageList keeps roughly 2%. Players pay no service fee on a facility booking. See the whole thing.

How do I start coaching on CageList?

Create a free profile in about ten minutes — where you played and coached, the sport and levels you teach, your rate and a short bio. A real person reads it, usually within two days. Apply to coach.

What do I keep from each lesson?

95%. CageList takes 5% in total — 2% platform fee plus card processing — and the rest is paid straight to your bank. There is no subscription and no monthly fee.

Do I need my own cage to coach here?

No. That is the point: you get access to a cage or facility every time you book a lesson, so you can teach without renting a space by the month or hoping a field is free.

What is the background check?

A standard screen run by Checkr, usually clear in a few business days. It costs $55 one time, paid only after you are approved, and it is re-checked free every three years. You enter your details with Checkr directly — CageList never sees your Social Security number or date of birth.
